Morning all. What are the current odds on today's game going ahead? I see that they were appealing for volunteers to fork the pitch yesterday ("bring your own fork" it said). But I don't know how many willing forkers they found...

Pitch inspection at 11am (ish).
Is Kenny trying to deny the inevitable on purpose?

At least, this morning is looking brighter and drier than I expected giving it a better chance. I haven't heard any official news on how their pitch has generally progressed since their game was called off last week. Was the forking request for late finishing touches into improve quality or more like desperation to hit minimum levels?
We can continue to check out the isthmian league plus individual club websites, etc but I would also like to request that the FTFC membership txt alert system kicks in for news if / when an official verdict to postpone is reached please? I'm working on the basis that no news is good news in this instance.

South Park 0 Faversham Town 4 (Harris 36 & 92, Wilson 72 and Robertson 88).
Willo also saw a penalty saved!
Shame, Burgess Hill came from behind to win but all we can do is keeping winning.

And so glad it was. Four Nil, away from home. And almost as many goals as home supporters.

South Park 0-4 Faversham Town Starting line up: Rob French, Aidan Sherlock, Jamie Maxted, Matt Bourne, Ashley Brown, Charley Robertson, Wayne Wilson, Dave Botterill, Josh Stanford, Dean Grant, Jack Harris.
Another convincing victory. The perfect away performance? Difficult to argue against when you look at the scoreline.
We start well. We're playing some decent stuff. Good movement, decent passing, some fine approach play. We're knocking on the South Park defensive door, but not quite breaching it. Our first real chance arrives on 28 minutes. Aidan Sherlock is brought down on the right. Free-kick. Wayne Wilson delivery, Dave Botterill gets in front of his marker, the header is just wide of the post. Close. On 38, the goal we'd deserved. A ball out of defence, Dean Grant heads on, Jack Harris in pocession on the edge of the area. Plenty still to do. Jack bides his time, evades the attentions of South Park defenders and then unleashes. Straight down the middle, over the SP keeper's outstretched arm and in. Glorious goal. I'm pretty sure it took a nasty swerved as it went. Keeper had little chance. 1-0. SP respond immediately, they engineer a shot from outside the centre of the box. Rob French's positioning is good and safely gathered in. Back SP come, another shot from a similar position. This time more power in the shot, arcing just under the bar. Rob French stretching gets it over the bar. Top class save. We finish the half with a fine move. Charley Robertson fom the centre, spreads the play to Josh Stanford on the left. Josh sends in a low centre, begging to be buried. The requisite connection is just missed (as indeed I missed by whom). But a really fine move-deserved a goal. 0-1 at H-T.
H-T chit chat-just a snippet of. General agreement we're thoroughly worth the lead and will push on with more goals in the second half.
Second half. A bright start. Jack Harris on the right, inside to Charley Robertson, inside to Josh Stanford, low shot, keeper saves well. A Dean Grant shot is saved for a corner. A Matt Bourne half-volley is safely gathered by their keeper. Half-chances. And then SP have a decent spell. An attack down their right, a cross well met, loops just over. Then down their left, a low centre across the box, they're in, Rob French does really well to narrow the angle, the shot is wide of the right post. And from that point we take control. A long clearance, Wayne wilson plays in Dean Grant, in the area, Dean's touch is good, but a SP defender is in the way. Ref gives a penalty. Handball. I thought SP were hard done by there, didn't look like handball to me. Wayne Wilson steps up, decent strike to the keepers left, keeper selects well and makes a good save. We continue to apply the pressue. Dean Grant does well down the left, centres Josh Stanford meets, but just wide. And then an exquisite move, Charley Robertson finds Dean Grant hugging the left touchline, Dean sends in a low centre, and Wayne Wilson times the run to perfection, collects and slips the ball passed the keeper. 0-2. Their number 8 gets a yellow for an extremely nasty challenge on Josh Stanford. Right in front of us. Should have been red. Awful challenge. Violent. The SP management very sensibly substitute their number 8. Anyway, we're 0-2 and comfortable. And then on 88, this. Charley Robertson on the left, down the wing and then inside, across the area, low shot, passed the keepers dive. Perfect placement. I've not described that very well-treat yourself-see it on in CJK's video. 0-3. And to finish a fourth to send us all home extremely happy, Wayne Wilson's strike is saved by the keeper, out to Jack Harris and goal number 4 is secured.
So reasons to be cheerful:
a) we were good today-very good. Composed, controlled and goals. b) SP-still play off candidates. 0-4. Some performance. Super result. c) fantastic away support again.
See you all next week. MASSIVE local derby. COYW. Can't wait.

Brilliant video once again CKJ. And for national radio coverage of our victory, and our incredible goal scoring run, listen to Clive Walker interviewed on Radio 5 Live. 21 minutes in: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04ykg1l

Well done to all on this thread so far spreading the word about this great football club. On top of the excellent written form, we're also priviledged to have the visuals and now national aurals too. Keep shouting!

Just to back up Clive's comments about the importance of keeping clean sheets in addition to our goalscoring exploits...hats off to Rob French, who has conceded just one goal in six hours football since his return to the team.

I agree.
I would also like to point out we are scoring as a team and defending as a team.
Indeed, all of our strong squad playing important roles and that's very much appreciated.
