Faversham Town Under 18's travelled to Hythe Town in only their third match in the Kent Youth League South.
After losing a close match last week against Dartford in the Kit2Fit cup it was important for the team to pick themselves back up and focus on the league.
On a very boggy pitch, more like a ploughed field, it was hard for both teams to play attractive football. In a heated match, Town scored after immense pressure just before full time after great strength from Tom Rumble, his cross was met by John Brown who powered his shot past the keeper.
Home at the Abbey School 3G next week against Chatham Town in the league - 10:30am kick off.
