If last Saturday was a big, big, big game, I am running out of words for this one!
Hopefully, it's a really good match and Luke can sign off in style.
About time we beat Folkestone!
See you Saturday.

Blimey. If you're running out of words we are in trouble!
So forget the talk, it's time for some shouting!
Has there ever been a better time to get down to Salters Lane than a crisp and sunny November afternoon. A warming pint of Sheps from the bar. The prospect of exciting new young talent on the pitch. An opportunity to put some clear blue water between ourselves and one of the true challengers for top spot in the form of Invicta. The chance to listen to the fortunes of Burgess Hill getting knacked & sent off in another energy draining cup competition as they get further entangled in a chaotic fixture pile up later in the spring (Alright I'm rather clutching at straws on that one!).
But mostly the chance to give our outstanding striker of the past two seasons a fitting send off.
Altogether now: * Luke Harvey...Luke Harvey Luke Harvey...Luke Harvey Scoring goals for Faversham Luke Harvey
COME ON YOU WHITES!
(* to the tune of Let It Be)

Yes, what a massive game and I couldn't agree more with Mark about the whole scenario. Should be a great atmosphere today so I'm hoping the team can put on a top performance for us.
Let's give Luke a Faversham "roar" for all his service to the club, helping us to become promotion challengers during recent seasons.
PS: Shouty, shouldn't you be typing in UPPER CASE?

Faversham Town 2 Folkestone Invicta 2
An excellent game.
Both sets of supporters were in good voice and plenty of friendly banter - a bumper crowd of 317 to boot.
To the match:
We began slowly.
Both sides had a few half-chances in the first 20 minutes.
Our best chance fell to Jamie. Their keeper missed a Willo corner, Jamie heads towards goal at the far post, but it bounces off the keeper's arm and out for another corner. Not sure he knew much about it!
They take the lead on 23 - Simon races out to clear a through ball. Draycott beats him to it and finds the empty net.
But, we hit back on 34. Botterill loops the ball over to Bewick and he fires home on the volley - brilliant goal!
We end the first half on top but Simon makes a crucial save with the final action of the first half.
1-1 at half-time.
Now, to the controversy - such a shame to have a terrible decision like this in a good game.
Booth shoots for Folkestone, the ball hits Brown (I think on the shoulder but not too sure about that). Anyway, he is only 2 yards away and has kept his arms by his side.
Nonetheless, the Referee's decision is a penalty! Justice is not done with Booth finding the net from the spot, despite Simon going the right way.
We are a little rattled (understandably), a few yellows now coming out (most to Folkestone) . Folkestone are starting to dangerous on the counter.
We bring on Stanford and Oliver for Bewick and Robertson.
The changes work and Stanford equalises on 78 minutes. Another tremendous goal! This time, left-footed from around 20 yards, the keeper gets his fingertips to it, but it's into the top corner - 2-2.
We push on and look for a winner, although, Invicta still look dangerous on the counter.
Harvey is on for his final Faversham Town appearance in place of the substitute Stanford.
No fairytale for Harvey and it's finishes 2-2 - a fair result in the end.
So, reasons to be positive: 1) Another point clear at the top. 2) A major decision has gone against us but we have shown great character and got a result. 3) We have some serious depth in our squad. Rogers, King, Carrington, Johnson-Cole, Bourne, Ren, all not in the squad. Giorgio and George unused subs. 4) We are making use of the size of our squad. Luke, Kieran and Josh all made an impact of the bench. 5) Another four goals at Salters Lane and both of ours were yet more outstanding ones - the best place for football on a Saturday afternoon.

Cracking finishes from Sam and from Josh. Genuine class. And I think that the evidence backs up the assertion that the penalty decision was - to say the very least - somewhat harsh.
Great game though.
And, as I believe the old song goes: "We are top the league. We are top the league!"
