Thomas Reeves has said in match preview notes on this web site, that if we win, we will go top of Ryman South for the first time ever. Surely, we are on the brink of a bit of FTFC history here? With origins that go back to 1884, we have never been higher (if we win). Such opportunities are rare. So I say, never a better time than to get along to Salters Lane and get behind the lads in white. Posting this brings a tear to the eye. I can remember the hard times, like when the team struggled like hell in 03/04 season against operators who had no interest in running the club. Times when Salters Lane resembled a bomb site (2004) with grass shoulder high. And now, we are 90 minutes away from topping Ryman South....incredible! Kick off is 19:45 - be there.

Here is the match preview, in case anyone is struggling to find it - t.co/wIWzFYuw59Just to confirm, to those that are rather spectacle, it will be the FIRST EVER time FTFC have been first of the Ryman South! The Kent Messenger reported something similar before we faced Burgess Hill a little while back. Obviously, as I'm sure you are aware by now, Burgess Hill won that match. It is only now, that we have caught up with them in terms of points (if we win of course, albeit having played a few games more). Just would like to echo Carparkman's post - there really hasn't been a better time to come down to Salters Lane. The team are not only a credit to Ray/Clive and themselves but also to all the volunteers involved in the club's reformation. It looks like the worst of the weather we have endured in the past few days has gone (he says!), so hopefully the pitch will hold up and we can have slightly less rain for the game. See you tomorrow. FAV Army!

Full-time score: Faversham Town 5 Walton & Hersham 0.
Needless to say, a slight improvement on Saturday's performance (slight being the biggest understatement in the world!!)
Fantastic feeling to be top of the League!
To get there with a virtually perfect performance, even better - special mention to Dan King, who came in and was excellent IMO.
Even the rain stopped in the second half!
Credit to Walton & Hersham as well - it's hardly an ideal trip to make on a Tuesday, but by and large, their players seemed a decent bunch and their fans never stopped supporting their players.
We were utterly dominant in the second half, although at 1-0, it easily could have been a different game.
Let's get another win against Hastings and see how long we can stay top for.
FAV Army!

Another great result last night.Players worked their socks off again especially Dan King although my man of the match would have been Matt Bourne.Nice to have a bit more atmosphere behind the goal(can be like a morgue sometimes.)Can anyone tell me if Danny Hockton has left the club as i haven't seen him around for a while and what happened to Rob French. Thanks

Rob French was getting game time with Phoneix Sports and Danny Hockton likewise with Sevenoaks last I heard.
Not sure if that's still the case.
Various members of the u21 side also have (or do) play for one club or another in the Kent League.
