As I'm sure you can tell from the lack of comments, not a great day A rare off day for us and we didn't really get going. I tried to post a rousing pre-match post yesterday but the internet died on me at the wrong time. That's what I'm putting this defeat down to Having had some time to reflect, I wonder if the way the Whitstable game finished may have had something to do with our performance today. We had just won our fourth game in succession against a difficult Whitstable outfit. However, in the final minute, we had conceded through a penalty and had a player sent-off - understandably, the celebrations were quite muted after that. Again, I thought we were unlucky with the amount of bookings we picked up today. In stoppage-time, Josh picked one up after a Cray player threw him to the ground in front of the linesman - what the rulebook specifies that yellow card as, I don't know. We never got going but 3-0 was probably abit harsh, which showed Cray were hardly world-beaters. They are better than 22nd in the Ryman North table suggests. Though, it is hard to see them as contenders for promotion or a play-off spot. They scored twice in stoppage-time. The second goal was probably deserved on the balance of play, the third probably not. Anyway, that's enough on today's game. Now time to start planning for the perfect response on Tuesday. A win, three points and the guarantee to move top of the table with a victory (for a few days anyway) - what better way to react?! Fav Army!!
