Well, only a couple of seasons since P&T were spiraling upwards and out of the Ryman South to bigger and better things. Be nice to the people you meet on the way up, goes the saying, as you'll be meeting them on the way back down again. Or something like that. Anyway, they're back and things don't look so good down on the exposed hillsides of the south downs, with them slumped in the bottom three and heading towards the drop. Doubtless, they'll come to see if they can pick up anything in the wake of last Saturday's doings - maybe hoping that our confidence has been rattled. Maybe hoping they can find us licking our wounds.
No way. Jose. We're up for this one. And sorry you're having a rough time - but we intend to make it rougher still, at least for another week.
Tomorrow is a day for our team to shine. Yes, for individual players to do their stuff. But for the team as a whole to simply do what we know we can - and thump a hatful past a side that we know is not as good as we are. A team that has conceded 50 more goals than us this season. 50. So from the first whistle to the last, let's get in. No sympathy. No holding back. And for those of us on the sidelines, we need to make our support for the team visible and audible. Loud and Proud! COME ON YOU WHITES!

Faversham Town 2-0 Peacehaven & Telscombe
Starting line up:
William Godmon, Ryan Cooper, Jamie Maxted, Ashley Brown, John Scarborough, Charley Robertson, George Monger, Daniel Carrington, Josh Stanford, Luke Harvey, Renford Tenyue.
A comfortable victory. We got our noses in front early and never looked likely to concede. We effectively wrap things up early second half with a second. To illustrate, I think our keeper had to make only one save, a well judged stop at his near post from a wind assisted corner. And this summary wouldn't be complete without mentioning the wind (again). I'm no meteorologist, so I'll just stick with it was very, very windy. P&T would have felt quite at home.
The perfect start. On 5 minutes, George Monger wins a ball in midfield, sweeps it right to Charley Robertson, makes progress into the area, tight control, and shoots low and hard across the keeper and into the left hand corner. Fine, fine goal. 1-0. A George Monger free-kick, finds it's way to Charley Robertson, just outside the box, central, a ball into the box finds Ryan Cooper's run, the first time shot is just shy of the right hand post. Daniel Carrington picks the ball up deep in our half, carries deep into P&T territory, feeds the overlapping Ryan Cooper, low cross into the box, Josh Stanford's shot is blocked by the defence, Luke Harvey is quickest to the rebound, keeper saves the shot with his legs. Corner. 1-0 at H-T.
On 52, P&T survive a penalty area scramble. Numerous blocked shots, near misses, but ultimately cleared. The respite for P&T is minimal. Jamie Maxted in possession, drives forward, fashions a shooting opportunity and lets fly with one of those trademark, clean, crisp strikes from about, oh I don't know, 22/23 yard. It's too hot for the keeper, he saves but can't keep hold of it. Renford Tenyue gets in front of the keeper, swivels and shoots high into the net. Another fine goal. George Monger regains possession in midfield, to Charley Robertson, cross field ball to Josh Stanford, our left, beats his man on the inside and into the area, but shoots just wide of the right hand post. With between 20 and 10 to go, a spate of substitutions. David Botterill replaces George Monger, who'd picked up a knock, Kieron Campbell replaces Josh Stanford and Liam King replaces Luke Harvey. One final chance, Charley Robertson runs through the middle of the P&T defence, finds Liam King to his right, into the area, but the shot is well defended and blocked. 2-0 at F-T.
So, job done. In truth, probably a match we expected to win, (how this club has grown), but it still needed winning. And so, mission accomplished. Pity about the conditions, I personally think that they may have helped P&T avoid a bigger defeat-but of course, that's just pure speculation on my part.
Reasons to be cheerful:
a) we bounce straight back with an important victory. b) play off stuff-results not too bad around us today. c) midweek footy on Wednesday. See you at South Park. Looking forward to it already.
Sponsor's MOM: Charley Robertson.
