Another tough match.
To say Whyteleafe have been inconsistent this season would be an understatement.
They have won their last four games in a row after losing four games in a row before that and winning three matches in a row before that after losing three matches in a row before that.
Meanwhile, we have only drawn three fixtures in the league out of the 17 we have played.
So, fair to say, a draw is the mostly unlikely outcome tomorrow.
See you there.

Full-time score: Whyteleafe 0 Faversham Town 2 (Grant 4 and Monger 14).
A very good win and performance.
Dean scored an early goal, then George added a second that included an utterly brilliant one-two leading up to it, before he slammed into the top corner.
Whyteleafe have a couple of good strikers and they tried to give them a way back into the game but they couldn't get past skipper-for-the-day Ryan Cooper, Josh McCallum and co.
In short, we fully deserved the victory.
I won't be able to make Tuesday but hoping for another three points.

Whyteleafe 0-2 Faversham Town
Starting line up:
William Godmon, Ryan Cooper, Josh McCallum, Matthew Bourne, Jamie Maxted, George Monger, Daniel Carrington, David Botterill, Charley Robertson, Liam King, Dean Grant.
And a very convincing 0-2 at that. We were out of the traps quickly, took our early chances and pretty much controlled the game. My old mantra, any away point is a good point, and this was three well deserved away points.
The perfect start? Matthew Bourne plays a long ball out of defense, finds Liam King, Liam takes it on, threads the ball into Dean Grant's run into the area and Dean tucks it passed the advancing keeper into the left hand side of the net. Neat goal. 0-1 up on 4 minutes. Reward for a really bright start. We continue in the same vein. And it gets better on 14. Left hand side, George Monger in possession, highish ball played into Daniel Carrington, how to describe the return ball to find George Mongers' run into the area, high back heel, flicked loop, I don't know, but unorthodox and utterly brilliant. Still plenty to do, but the necessary is duly done as George Monger unleashes an unstoppable shot into the top left hand corner. Fantastic move. Fantastic strke. Fantastic goal. 0-2.
0-2 at H-T
Early chance from a George Monger corner, right hand side, Jamie Maxted gets in front of his marker, firm header, but wide of the right hand post. And then, probably Whytleafe's best chance of the match, They make progress down their right, ball inside, edge of the box, a decent shot on target, but comfortably plucked out of the air by our keeper. At the other end, Liam King gets to the byline, crosses, Dean Grant gets in front of his marker but heads just wide. Good patient possession and we find Jamie Maxted out left, one of those trademark raking crosses, Dean Grant meets, heads low, keeper makes a good save. And late on, we work hard to regain possession, Charley Robertson threads through into Daniel Carrington, in on goal, upended by a Whyteleafe defender who picks up a second yellow. And then really late on Liam King and Daniel Carrington combine to nearly force a third, which would have been the icing on the proverbial cake.
0-2 at F-T.
So, I'm very conscious there's lots missing from the above. I've just had a read, and there is no way I have done justice to how well we performed today. There's half an hour missing in the first half for example. Ok, so remiss reporting, but suffice to say watching from the sidelines, we worked hard, were in control and comfortable. A few half chances came our way but no major alarms at the other end. Second half, more chances, as reported, but missing is how we dealt with the inevitable Whyteleafe push, still 0-2 down with 15 ish to go. Our defending was supremely organised. No way through. Whyteleafe's forays would peter out as they eventually ran out of patience, gifting us possession. Job well done.
Reasons to be cheerful:
a) not just the result, but the performance. Full on team performance today. b) George Monger's goal. Class. c) a fab day - and a decent FTFC turnout at Church Road. Good to see everyone. d) the clean sheet - we worked hard for this - well deserved.
All in all - a good day for FTFC. Love it.
A long haul trip to Hastings beckons on Tuesday. See you there. COYW.

Great review yet again Dave. Such a pleasing all round performance by the whole team and a deserved important result in the context of our season.
I have to be the third person on this thread to praise the "utterly brilliant" 2nd goal. Serious "Goal of the season" contender due to the interplay between Monger and Carrington followed by George's unstopable shot. One that is impossible to describe to it's full credit. It will stay in my memory for a very long time - wish it was on video for others to enjoy too. WOW!
