Good chance to win a welcome £2500 in prize money today.
Beaconsfield may be bottom of their league but it is important not to underestimate them.
Hopefully, it is finished inside 90 minutes, but if it isn't, we will go the distance today - extra-time, penalties, the works.
There is a new rule in the FA trophy which allows the match NOT to go to a replay if both teams agree to finish it on the day.
That is the case today.
My prediction:
Beaconsfield SYCOB 0 Faversham Town 2 (Maxted 31 and Harris 63).

Beaconsfield SYCOB 0-4 Faversham Town
Starting line up:
Simon Overland, Ashley Brown, Matt Bourne, John Scarborough, Jamie Maxted, Sam Bewick, George Monger, Dave Botterill, Josh Stanford, Dean Grant, Renford Tenyue.
A convincing scoreline. And, yes, we were worth it.
We get off to the perfect start. A long ball over the top. Renford chases. By rights the Beaconsfield keeper should deal with it, but doesn't. Renford is able to take advantage of, well, the keepers' howler, and slots home. A very satisfactoy start. 0-1 after 2 minutes. And a catalogue of chances follow. Josh Stanford's slide rule pass plays in Dean Grant. Well struck shot. The Beaconsfield keeper redeems himself and palms the ball to his left. The same two combine, this time Dean's shot is deflected wide for a corner. From said corner, Dean Grant's header is cleared off the line. We're queueing up to score. Good work from Josh Stanford, finds Dave Botterill, the shot whistles past the keeper's right post. On 20, a looped pass from Josh Stanford, plays Dean Grant into the right hand side of the area, Dean slots it home. It just gets better. We press on. Glorious ball from George Monger, finds Josh Stanford on the left, George meets the return ball, great strike, but deflected for a corner. Fine move. A Josh Stanford centre from the left, Renford Tenyue's header is wide. Chance after chance, you get the picture. But then Beacondfield remind us they're capable of hurting us. A break down their left, a deep cross is met at the back stick, the header flashes wide. Good chance for them. And just before half-time Simon Overland is called upon to make a low save from a Beaconsfield strike from outside the box. But our lead remains intact. 0-2 at H-T.
Second half. And Beaconsfield have probably their best period of the match. In the first 15 minute they enjoyed some decent possession, but without really causing us serious problems. And then our first serious threat of the second half and we put the game to bed. Dean Grant is brought down on the right. George Monger's free-kick to the back stick, John Scarborough escapes his marker and heads the ball goalward, the keeper palms the ball high into the air and waiting at the right hand post is Jamie Maxted, our goal scoring left-back to head home. Lovely. 0-3. On 20, Jack Harris is on for Renford Tenyue. Dave Botterill spreads a lovely ball to Josh Stanford on the left, Josh beats his man, plays in Jamie Maxted in the box, Jamie is brought down. Penalty. Dave Botterill's penalty is saved by the keeper. On 75, Luke Harvey and Kieran Oliver are on for Josh Stanford and Dean Grant. A Jack Haris cross from the left is met by Sam Bewick's diving header. Saved by the keeper. And then, right on last knockings, good persistence from Kieran Oliver wins the ball, plays in George Monger, George works hard to maintain possession, does so, and then out of nowhere, an absolute belter of a strike from outside of the box. Sails past the keepers despairing dive high into the net. What a way to finish a game. 0-4 at F-T.
So, reasons to be cheerful:
a) another four goals without reply. Convincing stuff. b) another contender for FTFC's goal of the season - if there was such a thing c) £2500 for this win - with a chance to have a go at either Cray or Hastings in the next round d) a home game to look forward to next Saturday. Happy days indeed.

Completely agree with you Dave, we were worth a 4-0 win.
Could have been different had they scored at the start of the second half but football is a game of ifs and buts, so credit to the defence for seeing out that period.
Lovely goal from Monger, lovely bit of prize money, lovely result.
Couple of quick things that haven't been mentioned yet:
1) For those that didn't go - I know you're wondering - SYCOB stands for Slough Youth Centre Old Boys (Beaconsfield SYCOB was formed in 1994 following the merger of Beaconsfield United and Slough Youth Centre Old Boys.) 2) Sometimes, I use a Samsung tablet app called "Soccer statistics" to keep count of possession, corner, throw-in, free-kick statistics etc. Today's most interesting statistics - there were a whooping 60 throw-ins (32 for Beaconsfield and 28 for Faversham). Usually there are 20-30 throws in a match!!
Back to League action on Tuesday, before we finally get a home game next Saturday (Ah,heaven!)
