Time for a short trip down memory lane... back to Tuesday 11th August 2015.
It is our first away match of the season against Ramsgate after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Whyteleafe.
Ramsgate take an early lead but never really dominate, what turns out to be, an even contest.
We look to have claimed a deserved point when Dean Grant scores at the back post but, as per usual, the Wards are appealing for some kind of foul to get the goal ruled out... Their luck is in and the Ref disallows the goal!
Therefore, despite our performance deserving more, we are left empty-handed.
It didn't really tell immediately but gradually, over the next few games, the worrying pattern for our start to the season has been set - we are finding ways to lose when we have played well (Bury Town, Three Bridges and South Park to name three examples).
But here, 11 weeks later on Tuesday 27th October 2015, the pattern ends!
On a memorable night at Salters Lane, we take three points off Ramsgate.
We have difficult matches coming up after this one - Whyteleafe, Hastings, Molesey and so on - but we are now finding ways to win games and building some real momentum for the first time this season!
In case you hadn't noticed, I'm actually from the future - it is Christmas day 2015 and we are now back in 5th place in the league table.
You heard it here first.
..... And go!

Full-time score: Faversham Town 1 (S.Kingy) Ramsgate 1
Not the win we were after but still a good point.
Nice to get some decisions go our way for a change.

In other news - assuming nothing drastic happens on Saturday or next Tuesday *Touch wood* - Matt Bourne will be making his 251st club appearance, the next time he steps onto the pitch at Salters Lane (next Saturday against Worthing) by my maths.
Here are his stats this season (using the match reports):
'Competitive starts - 22.
90 minutes played - 21.
Games missed - 1.'
Utterly ridiculous!
The one match he missed was the League Cup tie at Whitstable Town.
What a player he has been for the club over the past few years!

Thanks for highlighing Matt Bourne's appearances. I wish to praise him for his attitude, commitment plus the quality he's brought to the team over the past few amazing seasons. Our defence is close to being the best in the league and his consistancy is a significant factor.
