I’ll be meeting up with a friend, who is a Dover fan, at tonight’s game.
He advised me to check that the club would be happy for me to film the game. So I contacted them and they informed that they only allow filming by insured, accredited members of the press. So no match highlights from me for tonight’s game.

Hmm; does that also apply to "still photography", I wonder?

Ah, that's a shame.
I wouldn't worry too much about not doing a video tonight though.
I can't actually remember the last game I saw you at a game where you didn't record the match.
Just relax and watch the game - it does feel nice when you haven't done it for so long and don't have to focus on anything else!
P.S. There will be extra-time and penalties tonight if needed.

Dover Athletic 2 Faversham Town 1.
Well, that was a very, very good performance.
To push a Conference Premier League side, albeit a weakened one, all the way shows just how well we are playing at the moment.
They began well, took the lead on 9 minutes and should really have doubled their lead on 12 minutes - Si made a great save, then John performed some acrobatics of his own to clear the rebound off the line.
From then on, although they created chances, we slowly began to grow into the game.
At the start of the second-half, we began really well and just grew in confidence after that.
Josh Stanford had a few half decent openings but couldn't quite take one.
Then, moments after our only substitution, the goal.
Kieran did really well to set-up Dean with his first involvement and Dean bent the ball expertly into the bottom corner - not dissimilar than Hockton's against Maidstone a couple of years back.
There was no doubt we had them rattled and were on top.
But, soonafter they won a penalty - their no.8 drove into the penalty area, Bourney stuck out a leg and he fell over it.
The Dover fans have openly admit it was a soft one on their forum but it didn't bother their no.8, who smashed home the penalty.
We pushed again for an equaliser and they did still seem a bit fraile at the back. However, this time there was no end reward.
Slightly disappointing to concede the second so soon after levelling.
But, in all honesty, I think any result inside 90 minutes - with it being a Kent Cup match - suited both sides more than extra-time or penalties would have.
Onto Beaconsfield on Saturday - I'll be on the coach, see you there!
