Full-time score: Chipstead 0 Faversham Town 2 (Grant 45 and Wilson 88).
We finally took a deserved lead on the stroke of half-time after dominating the entire of the first-half.
We then had to defend a bit more in the second period.
But, we did so well enough to keep another cleansheet and Willo sealed the win with a trademark free-kick, near the end.
Onto Herne Bay on Tuesday, who drew 0-0 with Dorking today - that means, at least for the moment, we are in the second place.

Chipstead 0-2 Faversham Town
Starting line up:
Rob French, Ryan Cooper, Jamie Maxted, Matt Bourne, John Scarborough, Charley Robertson, George Monger, Wayne Wilson, Dave Botterill, Stuart King, Dean Grant.
Facing a Chipstead side rooted to the bottom of the table, with new faces at the helm. What to expect from the opposition?
First half definitely to us. Plenty of possession early on, but clear cut chances were proving difficult to come by. Stuart King had had a couple of half chances. But a really good chance on 25, Stuart King finds Dean Grant on the left, the strike is across goal, narrowly missing the right hand post. Stuart King on the right, just outside the box, floats one across goal. Narrowly misses-thought that was going in. A Wayne Wilson corner met by Matt Bourne's header, but over. And just when we thought that the goal wasn't coming, it duly did. On 45, Dean Grant is played in, gets into the area, and well, toe pokes it home (well I think that's what happened). The ball seems to take an age to finally reach it's destination, just inside the left hand post. But home it goes.
A different Chipstead in the second half. More urgency about them. But our defense holds firm. And still some decent chances. Dean Grant does well wide right, gets a cross in, John Scarborough, in the area, gets a shot at goal. Keeper saves. Jamie Maxted drives forward, shoots from just outside the box, but it sails past the left hand post. Charley Robertson gets the ball into the box from the right, the keeper saves Dave Botterill's half volley. Chipstead have some chances, a shot from outside our box is safely gathered by Rob French. A Chipstead corner, lots of bodies in the box, we clear off the line. Sharp intakes of breath all round. At the other end, Dean Grant's strike brings a good save out of their keeper. Corner. But we are coming under some pressure. Chipstead are pressing for an equaliser. A triple substitution (5 / 10 to go). Taser Hassan, Mobojali Dawodu and Dan Carrington on for Dave Botterill, Dean Grant and Stuart King. on 88, Charley Robertson picks the ball up in the middle of the park and runs at the Chipstead defense, gets just outside of the D, brought down. Free-kick, fairly central. Wayne Wilson strokes the ball into the right hand side of the goal. Game over.
So a fine away win. Perhaps we weren't at our fluent best today, but still good enough to score two unanswered goals away from home. I'll take that.
Reasons to be cheerful:
a) another clean sheet. That's 3 on the bounce. b) the rise up the table continues - 2nd now. c) more footy on Tuesday to look forward to - Herne Bay visit. d) and FA Cup to look forward next week, away at Staines. (Staines lost today, 7-0)
