Full-time score: Faversham 2 Chatham 0.
Sounds like another good win today.
So, as I left on holiday for the past four games, missing three league games and a cup tie, I thought seven points and a cup win would be good.
We have now got exactly that.
Fav Army!

Faversham Town 2-0 Chatham
Starting line up:
Tom Benham, Ryan Cooper, Jamie Maxted, Matt Bourne, John Scarborough, Charley Robertson, George Monger, Wayne Wilson, Dave Botterill, Stuart King, Dean Grant.
2-0. Fair result I'd say. We left it late to put the game beyond doubt. That thin 1 goal lead always brings a certain tension with it. But despite Chatham enjoying decent spells of possesion at times, we were in control-they weren't hurting us. From an attacking perspective, plenty of chances. Another really good start from us. A long Jamie Maxted clearance finds a Staurt King run in the final third, an attempt to lob the keeper is foiled by a decent stop from their keeper. A Wayne Wilson corner, our left, Dave Botterill's header is just over. On 10 minutes, Dave Botterill finds Jamie Maxted, a fine ball finds Stuart King, finds some space, their keeper comes and takes Stuart out. Yellow for their keeper, free-kick for us. About 3 yards outside the box, Wayne Wilson takes, goal. Wonderful, wonderful strike. I really need to consult my "Big Book Of Superlatives" - and soon. A strong run by Dean Grant down our right, the cross, George Monger does really well to get in the area, slides in to to get a shot away. Wide, but really good effort. We clear our lines defensively, Dave Botterill heads on, Stuart King is away, Chatham are penalised for shirt pulling. Fre-kick, Wayne Wilson sends it to the far post, John Scarborough gets a head on, but just wide.
1-0 at H-T.
Mobolaji Dawodu is on for Dave Botterill. We fancy ourselves from distance. A nice touch from Mobolaji Dawodu plays in Wayne Wilson, 25 yards(??) decent strike, rising, keeper gets a touch over, corner. Charley Robertson wins the ball on the left, to Wayne Wilson, similar distance, this time wide. Dean Grant is played in, edge of the box, left, shoots across goal, saved for a corner. Chatham respond, attack down their right, cross into the box, flicked at goal, reflex save by Tom Benham. At the other end, Wayne Wilson finds Stuart King in the box, back to goal, defender for company, lovely turn, shot across goal, just wide of the far post. We thought it was in. Close. And then a fine move. Our left, good work from Stuart King, played inside to Dean Grant, inside again to Wayne Wilson and again, Bola's in on goal, beats the keeper but just beats the left hand post. Fine, fine move - would've been a great goal. Dean Grant forces the keeper to make an excellent save to his right.
We're pushing for that second. But we're caught on the break. Their forward is in on goal. Ryan Cooper gets back to make a goal-saving challenge. The accepted wisdom is that goals win games. Difficult to argue with-but so do defensive challenges like that. Fantastic challenge. So 5 minutes, still 1-0 and we're defending. Jamie Maxted wins the ball on the edge of our box. And drives forward, our left. And keeps going, and going. Inspiring stuff. A foul challenge a few yards from the penalty area brings the run to an end. Wayne Wilson takes. Height on the ball, lofted but dipping. Unstoppable. 2-0. Now where is that big book. A fine goal-but a huge assist from Jamie Maxted. Taser Hassan and Dan Carrington are on for Dean Grant and Stuart King.
Reasons to be cheerful:
a) a potentially tricky local derby negotiated b) another clean sheet. Early days to be looking at the table (but that's what we do isn't it), but we currently register the best defensive record in the league. c) the cumulative effect of the weekend-FA Cup safely negotiated and 3 points in the league. Fantastic.
All in all. Happy Days.
Sponsors' MOM: George Monger.

Excellent again CJK. I'm sure we will all agree that the videos are excellent, especially when we cannot get to the match(s) for whatever reason. May I also take this chance to point out to all supporters that, when viewing CJK's Youtube channel ( www.youtube.com/channel/UChdYKH8agapKJnbCItS0gYA), that a superb Faversham Town promotional video automatically starts to play and is well worth a watch.
