Thank you Hastingsfan.
Unfortunately, as I'm away, I can't put this on the club website.
But feel free to spread the word!
Its crucial to build momentum before the Play-offs!
What better place to start?

Fantastic News! Really looking forward to the trip. We will be bringing our shouty voices - & let's make it a carnival of football (as long as you don't mind us taking the three points!)

Full-time score: Hastings United 2 Faversham Town 1 (Willo 13).
Well, not a particularly good afternoon for us.
We have been called things like 'really average' on the Hastings Forum which is slightly harsh because we haven't played anywhere near our best in either game.
But, based on the two performances we have put in against them that have ended with an aggregate score of 7-2 this season, I don't think anyone can blame them too much for coming to that conclusion!
To the match:
After a fairly quiet start, we take the lead through a brilliant 30-yard free-kick from Willo - one of only a handful of players to have a good game for us!
Hastings respond well and create some decent chances after our opener and equalise through an excellent free-kick of their own before half-time.
Hastings then take the lead themselves fairly early in the second-half - even their supporters are calling the decision to award a penalty for handball against Scarborough 'generous', I think I'll leave it that!
Hastings drop deep almost immediately after taking the lead and it almost becomes attack v defence for the majority of the second period.
Their keeper makes an excellent save to deny Charley by tipping his shot onto the post.
However, we really missed Deano and Josh and struggled to create enough opportunities to test their defence.
So, reasons to be cheerful (this is a bit harder than normal):
1) It is much better for a big decision to go against us today, rather than in the Play-offs. 2) It is much better for us to put in a below par performance today, rather than in the Play-offs. 3) With Folkestone winning 4-0 today, at least we know what final league position we are likely to get - even if it isn't the one we wanted! 4) Further from 3, we may now have the chance to give some of the fringe players and U21s a game next Saturday with the regular first-teamers getting a rest, something the likes of Merstham, Folkestone and Whyteleafe may not be able to do. 5) This is a weird positive but stay with me - we conceded for the first time in five matches, which means we are less likely to be complacent come the Play-offs in a few weeks. 6) With free entry to the ground, we got some early practise in, in playing in front of a decent sized crowd.
See you all next Saturday to celebrate a brilliant league season, put today behind us and prepare for one big final push in the Play-Offs.
FAV Army!

Cor blimey. I knew it was a soft penalty even from the end I was standing, but it hits John's trailing hand behind his back, with his head turned away, from a couple of feet away... That's tough. And what a cracker from Willo. A contender for free kick of the season! (In 2nd place another cracker from Willo. In 3rd place...)
So. A disappointing outcome. Yet much of the second half was a one-way seige of their goal but without the ball ending up in the net to get the result that merited. And in the scheme of things, I guess we can live with it.
Home playoff first leg on Tuesday 28th under the floodlights at a packed and shouty and sweaty Salters Lane. (ok, maybe go easy on the sweaty) Then either home to Whyteleafe or a shortish trip to Folkestone for the final. Get that black and white bunting at the ready - we're heading for the big time!
COME ON YOU WHITES!!
