Here we go again! Another big game, A local Derby and just 48 hours after our last fixture. To boot, it is looking like it might be my last game until Hastings in two Saturdays time (the website probably won't be updated in this time, but hopefully, allthingslilywhite.wordpress.com and twitter.com/FavershamTownFC will). I don't think it was mentioned after the Tooting & Mitcham match but Burgess Hill have now won the league - congratulations to them on a brilliant season. So, that means we cannot finish as champions this season However, Saturday's win also means we are now guaranteed a top-four finish. A win here and we will virtually secure a place in the top three - but it won't be easy. I can't wait. See you there! FAV Army!

Full-time score: Sittingbourne 0 Faversham Town 0.
Not the most exciting game.
First things first, I will go into detail over all the action in the game.
Now that's over with, I'll move on!
In all seriousness, A point isn't the end of the world.
Sittingbourne were a decent, well organised side and had a fair bit of pace on the counter (Kieran on debut was probably their most threatening attacking player).
They didn't create a huge amount in terms of opportunities, but in fairness, we didn't create much more!
Similarly, with the play-offs in mind, it is great that we have really tightened up at the back and not conceded in the past four games but we need to re-find some of our earlier goalscoring form.
We are still second as well - albeit only on goals scored and we really can't afford any more slip-ups if we are to finish there.
Ahead of Saturday, Horsham won today.
They remain eight points clear of being safe with three matches to go.
Realistically, they won't get out of the relegation zone, although because of the various possible permutations in regards to getting reinstated, they will be keen to finish as high as they possibly can to give themselves a chance.
For us, hopefully the return of Josh helps spark an overdue goal-glut as we gather momentum for the Play-offs.
I won't be there on Saturday but will keep up-to-date and see everyone at Hastings the following week.

That has to be the worst pitch ever to be played on.Might as well have played on a bomb site.We tried to play some good passing football but you could never trust the pitch to have complete control of what you were doing.Sittingbourne sussed it out and just lumped it up to the lanky centre forward.Lets just move forward onto Saturday and back to winning .

Agree Fav Army. Definitely not the end of the world. We're still very much in this race for second position. Let us not forget, we're still second.
As Tony rightly points out the pitch was extremely difficult. Very bobbly and hard. Not conducive for easy control. It was evident an extra touch was invariably needed. And advantage lost. But no excuse, all 23 other R1S sides play on it also. But, today, we just couldn't find a way passed a very (big) resolute Sittingbourne defence.
We made chances, Dave Botterill chanced his arm from 25 yards, needed a smart save to prevent it going in. Jack Harris was close, a shot whilst on the floor in the area, just couldn't get the power.
So 0-0 at Sittingbourne. It's always a tight encounter there, and of course, always very cold. So we'll take the point.
I can't resist a reasons to be cheerful:
a) 4 clean sheets on the bounce b) a top three place almost secured, with 3 games to go. c) 3 games to go and all to play for. Exciting times at Salters Lane. No, make that more than just exciting, the best times. Fantastic.
It only remains to say,. COYW.
