Redhill's next three fixtures are all at home as follows:
17th Feb vs Folkestone 21st Feb vs Faversham Town 24th Feb vs Merstham
Being 22nd in the league and fighting relegation each game could easily go in different ways.
All being well, scoring a third goal on Saturday would be our 100th competitive one of the season. Fingers crossed!

I see that tonight's game at Redhill has been called off following a pitch inspection. Here's hoping for some blistering sunshine between now and the weekend.
Meanwhile, I see that our league record and that of Merstham have a lot in common: Both played 35 Both won 12 home games Both drawn 3 home games Both scored 86 Both conceded 44
But crucially we've got 4 more points.
Get in!

If this goes ahead - and no news is good news so far - then I'm putting down a marker for a BIG win today. A goalfest in the mud. Something like 7-2. So that's got to be worth the journey up the M25!

Well, Shoutydave, Shoutykev, Shoutygary and myself arrived at Redhill around 2.35pm at the moment that Ray and colleagues were driving out of the carpark. Still not quite sure how this was on, and then off - but seems it has something to do with a referee from Southampton. The collective view was "Oh, Bugger" as we made a u-turn in the carpark and headed back towards the M25. In the end we arrived in time to catch the second half of Folkestone's visit at Herne Bay, and were pleased to watch them drop a couple of important points. So not an entirely wasted afternoon. Although I reckon we'd driven about 110 miles to get there. To watch two teams we don't support. Neither of which won. But, hey ho. That's football!
Least ways if next Saturday's game gets called off an hour before kick off, I'll be safely esconced in the clubhouse bar, and there'll be no moving me till home time...
Onwards and Upwards!

I also would like to add, I think today has been a day to really appreciate everything Wendy does behind the scenes at the club.
I'm sure her phone would have gone absolutely crazy when the game was cancelled and she sounded just as disappointed as everyone else (and even more stressed)!
But, she still managed to keep everybody up-to-date on the situation - as we all know - she does every week.
Hopefully, that is the last cancellation we have to deal with this season!

Completely agree. Not blaming anyone at our Club. Least of all Wendy. In fact, if any one of the four of us had checked our incoming texts instead of waffling on about potential starting line-ups and who might be dropped what with Wayne being available, and what our strongest midfield line up is, and how it must be tough to be a manager with so much strength in depth within the squad, and whether rotation is preferable to picking your best eleven, and how suprising it was that the Redhill game was on despite so many others being called off.... (but you can't blame me - I was driving!), then we could have turned back a couple of junctions earlier. But that would have probably meant being charged to get into Herne Bay, rather than our free half-time saunter - so maybe not all bad!
And let's raise a glass to Wendy! Very much appreciated!

Indeed, not so bad.
So, a wasted trip? Well, there is always something to be learned / enjoyed.
a) trust your instincts. Away at Redhill, rain. Conclusion. Game off. b) an opportunity to engage in said waffling on the way up. Good company, and always hugely enjoyable to speculate. And because it's easy, we mainly exercised options. Loads of them. Decisions-not so forthcoming. Easy being a supporter. c) Arrive at the ground. Game off, so you're looking for inspiration. ShoutyMark offers said inspiration. To d'Bay to support d'Bay against Folkestone. Inspired decision. Bay deserve their point-despite the Folkestone linos behind the goal. We get our footy fix and a rival drops 2 points. Huzzah.
So, a good day.
PS. Raising my glass right now. Cheers.

Another good win yesterday!
We rode our luck at times, and with some relatively recent signings, Redhill looked better than 23rd in the league suggests.
The pitch was also far from ideal but we got the points and played very well in the circumstances.
Another display of how strong our squad is with Benham (the u21 keeper) playing in goal!
But overall, another step closer to the play-offs and hopefully second place.
Another tough test on Saturday against an in-form Guernsey.
I can't wait, see you there (maybe).
