Really looking forward to tomorrow (well, by time of posting, technically today!)
Will be a good test of our credentials.
I know Burgess Hill were good and deserve to be top right now, but at the same time, they won't stay unbeaten all season.
It will be interesting to see how they react when they do eventually lose a few games.
I think it might be closer at the top than some people are expecting.
At the moment we are best placed to go top if they do slip-up - being second and all.
But, I think the chasing pack (the likes of Whyteleafe, Folkestone, Whitstable etc) won't be far away either.
So, it will be a good chance to prove we are the best of the rest tomorrow against tough opposition.
We should be due some luck after the two league games last year.
We drew 1-1 away, having hit the woodwork a stupendous amount of times, before we lost a weird match at home 3-2.
We were brilliant in patches, then really poor in others.
Let's hope we can keep this winning run going and make it eight in eight - must be a club record, I wonder what the league's is?

Well, what can I say about today?
A good point but could and probably should have won.
After 13 minutes of very even football between the sides, Oliver makes the breakthrough.
Can see that being a massive goal for him - I think he just needed the one to get up and running. Now, he should be away.
Anyway, after the goal we look comfortable, until they equalise on 67 minutes.
The rain drove down on the pitch all game and a slip from Scarborough allows in their - 11 probably their best player - he makes no mistake.
After that, they looked like the more likely to get a winner.
But based on the fact we were comfortable for 65 minutes and they were on top for just the final 25 minutes (albeit, they were a real threat during this time) I feel the fairest result would have been a slender Faversham victory.
But you don't always get what you deserve and we will have to move on with a point.
In retrospect, a point against Corinthian-Casuals may turn out to be a very good result later in the season.
Onto Tuesday night against Sittingbourne.
A good chance to bed some u21s into the first-team environment in the League Cup.
Sittingbourne don't have an u21 team and have a small squad, so it will have to be a strong squad used by us.
It is also about time we kept a cleansheet.
We looked good defensively until Scarborough's slip - we can't be that far away.
We have a number of good goalkeepers - one of Rob French or Wes Miller might get a chance to impress but Simon is actually playing quite well at the moment, I think.
We also have a number of good defenders, so I'm not quite sure how we keep leaking the odd goal.
Like I say, these are all good players and I'm sure we get an overdue cleansheet soon.

Faversham Town 1-1 Corinthian Casuals
Starting line up:
Simon Overland, Aidan Sherlock, Matt Bourne, John Scarborough, Jamie Maxted, Sam Bewick, Wayne Wilson, George Monger, Dave Botterill, Dean Grant, Kieran Oliver.
So, nearly 3 weeks away from Salters Lane and we host one of our bogey sides. Cor-Cas now a top 5 side. So a good point or two points dropped. We'll all have a view on that.
A quiet start but I thought we were exercising some control-and mainly in their half. On 13 that control is converted into something tangible. A deep Wayne Wilson corner from our right is returned back across the box into the path of Kieran Oliver, right hand corner of the box, and an instictive finish low and hard across the keeper into the bottom corner. And we were good value for the lead. Other chances. A specualtive long range effort from Sam Bewick is not far away. A Wayne Wilson corner, headed on at the near post, comes to John Scarborough at the back stick, the shot is deflected for a corner. Decent chance. Kieran Oliver bursts though the midfield. great pass to Dean Grant, Dean shows great strength, finds George Monger, but the shot is just wide. So 1-0 at H-T. And we're in control. We've needed Simon to make a great save at his right hand post to keep our lead. And what a save it was.
Second half. And we all know 1-0 is a slender lead. But we look to increase. Fine work from Jamie Maxted. a great cross to the back stick, Sam Bewick gets a head to it, but can't quite get the necessary on it. Great effort though. A Wayne Wilson corner, and a Dean Grant header is wide-not quite enough on it. A fantastic ball from Sam Bewick, gives something for Dean Grant to run onto, Dean beats his man comprehensively, shoots, but the keeper parries and makes the save. Fine move. A Wayne Wilson corner causes havoc in the Casuals box, half shots aplenty, but ultimately cleared by the Casuals defence. And then, the slender lead is exposed. Casuals hadn't looked like scoring. The defence had marshalled their forays well. John Scarborough slips on the sodden surface, their forward takes advantage makes his way to goal and slips it home. Casuals equalise, just when we when had looked like extending ourlead. Growing in confidence, Casuals become more of an attacking theat, Simon makes a fantastic save with his legs (10 minutes to go). Crucial save. And we finish with a bit of controversy. Luke Harvey (on for Kieran Oliver) is played through. One on one with his defender. Luke beats his man and is in on goal. Ref blows for a foul. My view, Luke's been pulled up for being stronger than his opponent. So a decent goal scoring chance denied us.
So reasons to be cheerful: a) still unbeaten at home b) still second in R1S c) still the best club
