Here we go again!
Another three points on offer, another big game after Tuesday's league cup tie.
We don't have a particularly good record against Corinthian-Casuals, especially at their ground.
Here's hoping this record is not preserved later today!
See you there.

Full-time score: Corinthian-Casuals 3 Faversham Town 1 (Tenyue).
Not a good afternoon at the office!
Given that we had only lost once in 11 games in all competitions before today, and between most the supporters I spoke to we were struggling to remember if we had won at Corinthian-Casuals before, there were plenty of reasons to feel nervous about being due a defeat and so it proved.
I think it's probably fair to say that the match was slightly closer than 3-1 suggests because very little went our way!
We easily could have taken the lead inside the first 15 minutes, as we failed to capitalise on two good chances.
Corinthian-Casuals' keeper Danny Bracken is one of the better ones in this league and he proved it, making a good low save from a 20-yard George Monger effort, which looked like it would sneak in the far corner.
Then, the Casuals defence fell asleep, leaving a William Godmon kick to go through to Bracken, only for Liam King to nip in. He slotted wide of Bracken's left-hand post when he really should have at least hit the target!
Casuals went up the other end and got what looked like a quite fortunate penalty, although, I'll admit that I didn't have the best of views of the incident.
The CC striker was about to shoot as Bola came back to close him down. The Corinthians striker hit the deck after minimal contact from Bola and the Ref gave a penalty, despite some furious protests from our players.
The home striker picked himself off the floor for the penalty and, although Will managed to get his hand on the spot-kick, he couldn't keep it out.
Having given the penalty, and although they didn't really have many major decisions to make, I felt that the performance of the officials gradually went from bad to worse!
This was proved with Corinthians' second goal - we failed to clear an in swinging corner from our right and the ball was scrambled over the line.
The linesman on the far side raised his flag and it looked like he might be signalling for offside but, without even going to discuss why the linesman had raised his flag, the Referee gave the goal.
Ultimately, the decision to award the goal was probably the correct one because not many of the Town players appeals but it was still a strange way to come to such a decision!
Given some of the foul the Casuals players were guilty of, especially in the first half, I find it amazing that - looking back through my notes - I have put down that only two of their players were booked.
We took a risk at the start of the second half, pushing for a goal to get back into the game.
It backfired quite quickly with CC scoring a really well-executed goal on the counter-attack.
We pulled one goal back on 77 minutes when Renford Tenyue scored and, had we found another goal, it would have made for an interesting few final minutes, as the home side slowly looked like they were becoming more and more nervous.
But, in the end, it wasn't our day.
No need to panic - we are still 6th in the league table (although, there are a lot of teams around us with games in hand now), had Liam or George's early shots gone in, we could have been looking at a different game in entirely and all the substitutes made an impact, which is nice to see.
Botts set-up Renford's goal and Jack Sellens made some decent runs and was prepared to get stuck in.
But the pick of the substitutes was Kieron Campbell, who had a really fine half hour after coming off the bench.
I know Whitstable have quite a decent frontline with the likes of Dean Grant, Stuart King and Gills youngster Harry Stannard but it does make you wonder why Kieron has been let him go!
Speaking of Whitstable, it is they who we are hosting next Saturday.
That will certainly be an interesting one!

Corinthian Casuals 3-1 Faversham Town
Starting line up:
William Godmon, Ryan Cooper, Jamie Maxted, Matthew Bourne, Ashley Brown, Mobolaji Dawodu Daniel Carrington, George Monger, Charley Robertson, Liam King, Renford Tenyue.
King George's Field, Tolworth. Not a good ground for us. In fact, no beating around the bush, a rubbish ground for us. And so the trend continues. 3-1, well that most definitely flatters the hosts. But did we deserve anything out of the game? Not sure. Did we deserve to win it?-probably not. A draw-possibly. But, I might well have changed my mind at the end of this submission.
We start well. Jamie Maxted drives down the left, feeds Renford Tenyue, sets up George Monger just outside the area, low shot aiming for the left hand corner is scrambled away for a corner by their keeper. A William Godmon goal kick, deep into Cor-Cas territory, is misjudged by the defence, Liam King is in, gets ahead of his men, but flicks it just passed the left hand post. It was close, damned close (I was up celebrating the goal), but cruelly wide. Hindsight is indeed a wonderful thing, but that seemed a pivotal moment. If that nestles snugly in the corner, the game may well have been very different. We've proved extremely adept at protecting leads. As it is, moments later at the other end, their 10 inside our area, takes aim, Mobolaji Dawodu gets a block in, the 10 goes over. Referee awards a penalty. Whether there was any other contact resulting in the eventual decision-I don't know. But definitely in the "soft penalty awarded" category. The same player dusts himself down, sends his penalty down the middle, William Godmon diving to his right, still manages to get hands to it, but can't keep it out. 1-0. A crunching tackle by George Monger, our left, releases Liam King, drives forward and lets fly, just passed the right hand post. And then disaster. A Cor-Cas corner from the right, high and looping, William Godmon can't collect, the ball falls to a Cor-Cas man who toe-pokes goalwards, our keeper makes the save, back into play. The lino on the far side raises his flag. The referee takes that as a signal to award the goal. Curious/confusing stuff. 2-0 at H-T.
Second-half and the worst possible start. Within a minute we're caught on the counter. Cor-Cas attack down their right, into the area still right side, a shot on target going in, Ashley Brown gets back but can only help the ball into the roof of our net. 3-0. And the proverbial mountain to climb. But we attempt the ascent. A decent move down our left, Jamie Maxted, to Charley Robertson, to George Monger, the cross is delivered, Liam King, twists, turns and fires, keeper collects high to his left. Double substitution with half an hour to go: Kieron Campbell and Jack Sellens on for Mobolaji Dawodu and Liam King. With 20 to go, Kieron Campbell, a mazy run and shot, just dragged wide of the left hand post. Renford Tenyue goes on a decent run, this time the shot is just over. With 15 to go David Botterill is on for Jamie Maxted. And the goal we'd deserved, a long clearance from our keeper, David Boterrill gets a great headed flick on, which releases Renford Tenyue into the area, and Renford slots it into the bottom left hand corner. One final chance, a Ryan Cooper cross from the right, Kieron Campbell plays keepy-uppy at the far post and almost forces it home. Keeper does well to collect.
So an excellent run comes to an end - as they must always do.
Difficult to make a case for deserving a point when you concede 3, so I'll avoid that. But there was certainly controversy surrounding the first two goals. So debating points there. Additionally, I've read Fav Army's excellent post on the match and like him am extremely surprised regarding the yellow card count. We seem to have amassed more that they did. But then considering George Monger's yellow (alleged foul on keeper) seems to have been awarded on the advise of the Cor-Cas players, perhaps not that surprising. So, this is starting to sound like sour grapes (which of course it is), so time to move on.
Where was I. Ah yes, an excellent run comes to an end. So that means (pause and drum roll), another one can start. Fantastic.
Time for reasons to be cheerful:
a) despite the reverse today, still sniffing around those play off places b) 3-0 down today and still we kept going. No sign of any heads dropping. c) after the excellent Tuesday performance, a cup semi-final to look forward to. How good is that? d) a home game to look forward to next week. Can't remember who we're playing though.
FTFC - the best club. COYW.
