Yesterday's results saw us drop from 4th to 6th position in the league table.
Both Herne Bay and Dorking Wanderers picked up good wins to leapfrog us - both are level on points with us but do also have a game in hand and are ahead on goal difference.
On the flip side of that, as it stands, both can only jump into 3rd place if they both win that game in hand they have.
That means we remain just four points behind second-placed Worthing, which shows just how tight the table is, in and around the Play-off places!
There is also just the one team behind us that realistically can overtake us in Hastings (Corinthian-Casuals are also six points behind us with two games in hand but, would not only have to win them both, they would also need to bolster their goal difference by five).
Hastings probably should come into Play-off contention, as they have five games in hand and are only eight points behind us!
However, they lost against Dorking yesterday and have struggled for any real consistency so far this season.
Meanwhile, at the bottom, Whitstable picked up a 2-2 draw with Tooting & Mitcham but are now in yet more trouble after Walton & Hersham beat Peacehaven to leave the Oysters 14 points from safety.
Realistically, I would have thought Whitstable are searching to finish in the highest place they can within the relegation zone and hope they can get a reprieve now - recent results have looked slightly better for them but the task now is that a team with 14 points from 30 league fixtures needs another 30+ points from their final 16 games.
Another interesting weekend.
