Looks like I'm going to miss this one through, er well, the standard Boxing Day (family) commitments.
That means I'm going to go two weeks without going to a football match - absurd for this time of year!
What are the signs of withdrawal symptoms again?
As always, these Kent derbies have the potential to be awkward!
But, as always against anyone in this league, we are capable of beating them.
Last time the first-team played Chatham in a pre-season friendly at their ground, we won something like 8-0 a few seasons ago.
Something tells me that this one will be a lot closer.
Good luck boys.
And a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all FTFC fans.
See you soon.

If it's of help to anyone, I can offer a lift up to Chatham on Boxing Day (& back!). Will be leaving from Faversham at 1.45, & going via Sitingbourne (at 2pm). Room for 2 more in the car if you fancy a couple of hours away from the, err, family fun! Cheers. Mark

And don't forget your Santa hats! (Or failing that a tattered cracker paper crown. It's the thought that counts...)

Very enjoyable Boxing day afternoon out in sunny Chatham. Good crowd of 250+, quite a lot of families, including a lot of us making the short trip westwards - all happy and up for an afternoon of turkey free football.
And then we score a beauty of a goal. Sweeping cross from Jamie finds the salmon - like leap of "the smallest man on the pitch", Renford Tenuye at the far post, head and shoulders above the surrounding defence, to head the ball into the back of the net harder than an undercooked sprout.
From there everyone played their part in seeing out the game and securing the victory.
Home happy with 3 points and the prospect of the boxing day leftovers for tea.
Luvverly!

Congratulations to the whole team but particularly the defence for a well deserved clean sheet. Having the league's second best goals conceded per game doesn't come from luck at this stage of the season.
By the way, that's now 25 points from the last 12 games. Same again please?
