Well, well, well.
First and foremost, this time about 72 hours ago, I didn't think I would be writing anything on here about the play-off semi-finals - because I didn't think we would be in them!
Dorking have done excellently in their first season at this level and deserved to finish second this season.
They will be difficult opposition on Tuesday night- but make no mistake, they are beatable!
We have already shown as much this season, beating them at home in both the league and League Cup Quarter-Final.
There is also an interesting argument in terms of momentum.
Last season, we made the play-offs quite comfortably and from that point on our form was pretty inconsistent for the final few league matches of the season.
Dorking looked to have a similar problem in the past week or so, losing 5-1 to South Park yesterday and 3-0 to Tooting & Mitcham last Saturday.
Dorking will still probably be slight favourites for the game because they are at home and finished higher in the league.
But this time, the momentum is with us!
And we have absolutely nothing to lose.
If you have any plans for Tuesday, cancel them.
Get down to the Westhumble Community Ground and get behind the lads.
Good luck boys!
FAV Army!

You're not the only one - I think most people believed the same yet we were able to dream and sometimes ..... Reading the matchday magazine written and compiled before Friday's events too it would seem Ray Turner was another being "realistic" at that point. I would like to praise him for the entire page of his comments - excellently articulating his thoughts on the squad, the club in general plus his genuine ambition for our future progress. Play offs for the third time in four seasons - whatever happens during the next week, with Ray at our helm and with the back up of our great support team on & off pitch, we are seriously knocking on the door of the premier division. A final point I'd like to make is to say a massive thank you to Mark Downs who was a major force in setting up the website you're currently on and who has produced and edited the matchday magazine for the past ten years until his last one yesterday. Hope to see him enjoy spending time at more matches with us next season.

Dorking Wanderers are "recommending" buying your tickets up front. Link below. Just thought I'd relay the info. Personally, I've played safe and bought mine in advance. It's a long trip to then not be able to get in. www.dorkingwanderers.com/

If I remember correctly parking is a bit tight at Dorking Wanderers - RH5 6AD.
Apparently there is additional free parking at Denbies Wine Estate - RH5 6AA.

I was doing so well. Under no circumstances am I going to have several pints before kick off. And several more during the game. And some more after. Nope. No way Jose. Been caught out doing that once before. Messy.
So a nice safe, dry evening in store tomorrow.
And then they go and organise overflow carparking....

Well, how fantastic was that!
Against a tough, tough team, on a rough dusty pitch, we go a goal dowm. But second half - Wow! I don't now what was said in the shed at half time, but it worked. An equaliser after immense periods of pressure. And then as the clock ticked down, the winner. Fantastic.
A more contemplative reflection on the match in the morning when the adrenaline levels subside a bit. And maybe even a fleeting thought about a forthcoming trip to the south coast.
But for now, four little words.
Blimey, that was good!
and then four more...
COME ON YOU WHITES!

Full-time score: Dorking Wanderers 1 Faversham Town 2 (Scarborough and Robertson)
What a night!
Listening to it through the radio commentary was absolute torture.
Can I wait to do it again on Saturday?
Absolutely not!
Can we ever get bored of praising this bunch?
Praising Ray, Clive, the rest of the backroom staff, the committee, the players?!
Absolutely not - sensational once again.
On to Saturday we go - Play-off Final time!
