Well then, how about this?!
Just a few hours ago, our play-off hopes looked slim with both Corinthian-Casuals and Hastings United ahead of us.
But maybe fate has decided to intervene!
Corinthian-Casuals have been deducted three points!
Even more coincidentally, the three points came from our 3-1 defeat to them in January - the last match I reported on, before I moved up north.
Hastings United are in pole position for the last play-off place now.
But, if we win tomorrow and Herne Bay get something against Hastings, it will be us who ends fifth.
Now, it's more important than ever that we do our job tomorrow in what still will be a tough game.
But we absolutely must take full advantage of this good fortune and at least ask the question.
On the fifth anniversary of Ray's appointment, we needed a miracle to get into the play-offs - could that be on?!
Get behind the boys tomorrow and let's make sure we do our job.
Hopefully, not for the last time this season...
FAV Army!

This might just be the little bit of good fortune that we've been denied this past ten days. www.isthmian.co.uk/league-statement-points-deduction-30518So by no means in our hands. But by no means completely out of our hands either. This is big. Really really big. And in the big games, against the biggest teams in Ryman South, is when we're at our greatest. So if the thought of not being at Salters Lane even flitted into your mind - junk that thought right now. Move hell and high water to get there. Your Town needs You! COME ON YOU WHITES! YEAH!

Worth reading the statement from Corinthian Casuals: www.corinthian-casuals.com/news/points-deduction-club-statementThe word "Gracious" has been used elsewhere. And I think it would be hard to disagree. But I guess it is now up between ourselves and Hastings tomorrow. And I can't see any quarter being given on the field of play. (Even though I'm not sure what that phrase means..) Jeeeeesh!

Even at this late stage, this season proves to be wonderfully unpredictable. And maybe, just maybe.....
To quote FAV Army: "Get behind the boys tomorrow and let's make sure we do our job". Those two things come together and game on.
To reinforce what ShoutyMark noted: "And in the big games, against the biggest teams in Ryman South, is when we're at our greatest" So look at the results against Folkestone, Dorking, Worthing, Hastings. All true.
And Hastings vs Herne Bay tomorrow, out of our control. But we can all see the form tables. So maybe, just maybe....
But however you look at it, tomorrow is quite simply a massive game. Huge. We're still in this, Salters Lane will be massive tomorrow. Not to be missed.
To quote ShoutyMark: "Your Town needs you!."

Full-time score: Faversham Town 4 Hythe Town 0.
We make the play-offs!
Fantastic.
I'll leave it to those at today's game to describe the emotions at the game.
But I was at Gateshead today (well my body was anyway).
I think I must have gone through about a million different emotions!
Now, to get ready for the play-off Semi-Final against Dorking.
Well done lads.

Bloody, bloody hell, that was good. On all levels. The performance, the result, the consequence of the result, the results elsewhere, waiting for the results elsewhere, the atmosphere at the ground, the tension, the relief, the celebrations. All there yesterday. Absolutely bloody marvellous. You've seen the video, top notch as always. But what a performance from our team. 4-0 against a very good Hythe team. So many highlights. Picking out individuals can not always be, well, conducive to a team game, but here goes anyway. That double William Godmon save when we're 1-0 up. Absolutely fantastic. Quality keeping. And then the John Scarborough hook off the line. Luke Harvey up front was immense. And a brace to show for it. The second was a fine, fine finish, befitting a fine, fine move. I challenge you to find a better penalty than Charley Robertson's-immaculate penalty. Renford, at left back. Fantastic. And that lovely interchange with Josh Stanford that nearly reaped dividends. I could go on. An enormously satisfying afternoon. This team is good. Damned good.
And then the marvellous moment both team and support, as one, await news from Hastings. You know the rest. But a fantastic moment.
They don't come around to frequently, but this was one of those days that will live in the memory forever. FTFC - the best club.
